Sigh. [Late reaction I know, I just fell in love with this song from Guru.] I’m not going to try to translate it. Sorry. Hindi speakers welcome to do it for me though. And I might take off the video soon so watch it while it’s on… if you want. It’s the song from the movie I love the colours and choreography and singing. This song is about a married couple living apart missing each other and imagining this sequence. In the end, the husband comes to take his wife back (stepping out of the imaginary song into real movie life). The best part of this video is the end.

I absolutely love this song!!! I just saw the movie a couple of days back! i thought it was ok. Abishek was really good in it and Ash was *surprisingly* good.. What a change from all the skimpy clothes and songs in night clubs!

I actually watched the video after leaving my first comment. It is a beautiful song - soft, melodic, serene, poetry in motion. The song is so beautiful that even my little parakeet starting singing! And he is just a baby, he *never* sings! Animals recognize beauty too when they hear it.

Mark, I SO agree with you! Isn’t it beautiful how everyone is who they should be? You should watch this movie, it’s not perfect in every way but it’s pretty nicely done. I love the way the marriage of these two worked in the movie. Movie is in Hindi, called Guru, based on a real guy even though the movie makers deny it. lol

the words are so beautiful but I’m scared to translate them for you, I know I will muck up the beauty of it. If I ever find a good translation I will let you know. The main message is that both miss each other and want each other to come back, they say everything is tasteless and robbed of its beauty when the other is not around. The verses I quoted seriously reminded me of Jesus. Sigh I love this song.

I found a blog that kind of translates this song for whoever was interested. I still maintain that such songs cannot really be translated and would have to understood in hindi. But the english translation will give you a clue at least.

Also RED, I have 3 parakeets, green, blue and the new one is yellow. My green is the best - I can hold him, give him tiny hugs, lay him on his back and tickle his tiny belly. He even sits on my shoulder as I shower because he loves to take in the spray of water that hits my shoulders. He sings all the time he is in the shower with me. God’s creation after all, beautiful. Oh and did I mention, the green one *loves* human food especially biryani. If I am having biryani he comes running to me and almost pushes me away so that he can have at it.

I love this song too. I liked Abhi and Ash in this film. I repeat I liked ASh, for the first time she looked real. She looks nice in Indian dresses. The rain song Tana re tana re is also very good.
